"With rock chips, they should be touched up with paint first, then sanded back and buffed out. Got to prevent rust from starting in the chipped spot first. You build up the paint on the chip, sand it flat then polish it out. Done right no one can tell the difference."
This is something that someone told me about touching up chips, although I have not done it yet. Also that you should let the paint cure for a good two weeks if not more to make sure it is rock hard so you dont s uck it back out when you buff if with a machine
I don't want to wet sand my hood because I have over 100 rock chips of all sizes on it. I don't have a problem applying the touch up paint, but I need to even this out after.
Can't I use like Ultimate Compound or something with a DA?
