  • Vinyl strip pkgs.

Hello everyone, Just getting real serious about detailing with power tools (not by hand) and using proper paint treatment compounds. I was wondering what is the protocol for a paint treatment job involving a vehicle with a vinyl strip pkg.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

    Be more careful.

As a rule of thumb you want to avoid buffing over them with a power buffer or by hand with any paint care products.

As for working 'on' them... no company makes a product specifically for vinyl graphics, stickers or decals. You might check this thread out in our "Hot Topics" forum.

I have waxed over glossy pinstripes, but thats about it. Always gently of course, and working inside/out, to not roll up the edges.
