Help with "Dirty" Rims

I have a 2006 BMW 325XI With factory rims. Now that spring is here i am doing my detail on it. But recently realized how "Dirty" my rims are!

I tried with just some minor cleaner ( ultimate quick detailer) and it doesnt seem to do much, just smere the dirt around.



I believe it's brake dust build up. What should i usue to remove the dust/dirt and restore to new condition?

I'd suggest starting with something like Hot Rims All Wheel Cleaner along with a nice soft bristle brush to get rid of the brake dust. Best of all it's available locally at Canadian Tire.

Once you've got a clean surface, a coat of wax would go a long way, but you'll also be able to use your Gold Class car wash to keep them clean. Also, if you maintain them every couple of days (depending on your dust buildup) you can keep using the UQD.
If the dust gets beyond a manageable amount, use your hot rims again.

Sweet sounds good i'll go pick up some hot rims cleaner tommorow at crappy tire it should clean them up nice right?
Oh and would a toothbrush do supposed to a bristle brush?

I used to use a toothbrush! Hey, if a soft toothbrush was good for your teeth, why not rims?

I certainly use soft toothbrushes in my details...

And yeah, using a cleaner meant for wheels is certainly a good idea.

nTooth brush works great for those really tight, hard to reach areas.

Use Hot Rims All Wheel Cleaner. Spray On. Then Scrub with a brush. Hose off. Clean Remaining Dirt with Quik Wheel Detailer and a Towel!






And For the Tires:

Get Wesley's Bleche White Cleaner and Scrub Away.




Then Dress with Gold Class Endurance High Gloss Gel
