  • Using ultimate quik detailer & nxt

BEEN USING ULTIMATE QUIK DETAILER ON MY '02 HD WIDE GLIDE.
IT HAS FACTORY BLACK PAINT. OVER TIME IT'S NATURALLY DEVELOPED
MICRO SCRATCHES AND I'M THINKING ABOUT USEING NXT TECH WAX.
MY QUESTION IS SHOULD I STRIP OFF THE QUIK DETAILER FIRST THEN
USE NXT AND IF SO WHAT WOULD I USE TO STRIP IT DOWN TO BARE
PAINT OR CAN I JUST APPLY NXT OVER IT?

    THANKS,
    TopKat

I would start by washing it with Gold Class Shampoo or NXT Car Wash and then dry it with some high quality microfiber towels. If it needs it,Then Clay the surface using a clay bar and a quik detailer. waxing with NXT will not remove swirls or scratches. To removethe swirls and scratches you will need a cleaner/polish.

Start with something like SwirlX with a foam applicator pad if you are working by hand. if that dosent remoev them then try something like ScratchX 2.0.

After you remove your defects then you can put a coat of wax on.
