How can I remove that UGLY wheel weight adhesive left behind when the wheel weights are removed? I have 5 spoke 18" wheels and the adhesive is very noticeable.

Re: Wheel weight adhesive
I let some goo gone soak into the foam for a while then it usually comes right off. A little more goo gone on a rag cleans up any remaining adhesive. Then clean with soap and water.1992 Mustang 5.0L turbo notchback

Re: Wheel weight adhesive
You could also try vegetable oil - it usually will break down adhesive residue with a little passion behind the cloth. Or WD40 or similar lubricant/rust repellant type fluid.
I would try any of those before taking anything with a sharp edge to a wheel or any other delicate surface.

Re: Wheel weight adhesive
Had a similar issue with some used wheels purchased for my Vette...used one of those plastic scrapers/painters tools and some WD40. Followed up with wheel cleaner, then soap/water, and finally wheel wax. Came out perfect with no marring/etching/scratching imparted to the wheel surface.

I now use regular lead weights but only get them put on the back of the rims. Works much better.Current Jeep: 2004 Jeep Liberty with stuff
