Paint overspray on black leather seats-HELP!

  • Paint overspray on black leather seats-HELP!

    I reently had my convertible re-painted and in the process, they got paint overspray all over my black leather interior ,including the seats! How do I remove the paint without damaging the lateher? Does anyone know??

    Any pics?
    Was the leather treated or dry?
    I would start with and APC and a terry towel and start rubbing.
    Maybe clay? Try a spot first, let it dry and look at the results

      Yikes!

      That is a difficult one. First, is the leather coated or uncoated? If you take a drop of water and let it sit on the leather does it create a wet spot/temporary stain?

      I would first talk to the body shop that painted it and then let them know what they have done. They may have done this before... BUT before you let them touch it, I would call a leather shop and ask what they suggest. You will have to tell them what kind of leather you have. You could also call your car's manufacturer/dealer and explain what happened and see what they suggest.
