While Meguiar’s understands that there’s a time and place for different size pads, at this time we do not offer anything smaller than our 6.5” pads.

I was pronouncing it tree-fitty, as in Chef’s dad to the loch Ness Monster:

"... Get off my lawn! I ain't giving you no tree-fitty!" It said, "how about just two-fitty?" I said, "Oh, now it's only two-fitty!! What?! Is there a sale on Loch Ness munchies or something?!"

Mike I asked in another thread but never got an answer... are the 6.5" pads still being manufactured or no?

I actually could not imagine using a 4" pad to do a whole car. I'll bust them out from time to time but really don't like them all that much. I'd much rather be using 5.5" or 6.5" on my PC. I love the 2.0 pads on the Flex.

I use 5.5" on the G110 and I too can't imagine using 4" pads to do an entire car... I think people want these more for better correction with the G110...

Re: What's the Megs position on 4" pads?

When I first started using my PC (before M105/205 or UC) I had trouble getting the cut I needed with the CCS 6.5" pads. I went to 5.5" pads and had much better results due to the increased cutting action of smaller pad. I use the 4" for tight areas (plenty of those on Vettes), around hard-to-reach body panels, and motorcycle details.

I have done 2 full details with only the 4" pads (supply problem...lol) and as others have said it's a lot of little sections at a time and you have to be much more careful because although the extra bite can mean half the passes of a 6" pad it can also leave micromarring requiring an extra finishing step...

How did this become a thread about my user name???

I use a mix of my 6.5" pads and 4" pads. I think I feel like I work more efficiently with the 4" pads, although I cover less area, the areas I cover I think I do so quicker than with the 6.5" pad so it works out in the end.

Although, as I said before, I prefer the material of the Meg's pads over the 4" LC CCS foam pads.

Try the 5.5" LC pads buddy... they work great
