    No queston is stupid!
Why do you want a bonnet? Just get the right pad for the job. I stoped using bonets a few years ago and never looked back.

        Mario,

        Different strokes for different folks...

Using a bonnet to remove wax enables you do do all or most all step by machine, for some people this is a preferred option so on this forum we like to help people get the best use of a product, (whatever it may be), not steer them away from something they have yet to experience.

When running a forum like this we practice a BIG PICTURE viewpoint, and often times separate our own personal opinions from sound instruction.

        Make sense?

If you want to remove wax using a microfiber bonnet over a clean, dry foam cutting pad, stick with out W-7006 for it's smaller size and purchase whichever bonnet ADS is matching to it.

Don't try to use 8" pads on a DA Polisher, nor 8" pads with bonnets on a DA Polisher, these size pads are just too large for the DA Polisher to work effectively.

I never have used the bonnets to remove wax, I just prefer by hand, but one thing that I have found the bonnets to have a really good use for is polishing metal. I used NXT all metal polysh on my step bars with the G110 and a bonnet. I just smeared some product on the bar, started on speed 1 to work it in without splattering since the step bar is a hard shape, and gradually worked the speed up to 5. Here are some pics:

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

              I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
              Remove swirls my friends.
