  • Taking delivery of a new car?

I have a new Black GL450 Mercedes-Benz that should hopefully be coming into my dealership in a few days. I've asked them not to touch or detail prep it in anyway.

I was wondering if anyone has any tips on how to correctly remove the paint protection transport film?

When we do PDIs at my work (Pre delivery inspection) We just take them off. They aren't attached with glue or anything but the little squares to prevent door dinging are. So you'll have to use some Goo gone or something.

If it's brand spanking new (and the plastic **** or whatever they put on there hasn't been sitting on the car for several months) then it should come off with no problem or leave any residue. If it does, you can probably remove it with a clean microfiber and adhesive remover (which you should be able to pick up at any auto parts store). Hope this helps!

        Thanks for the info.

        Goo gone or something.
I have D130 Body Solvent for that.
