How can i remove paste wax residue from my trucks black trim?

i use apc 10:1 with a mf cloth. rub until its remove.

To remove it use M39 Vinyl Cleaner and agitate with a nylon brush like a medium or hard bristle toothbrush then wipe the residue off using a clean towel.

To maintain the trim and keep it looking black, after cleaning with M39 apply Gold Class Trim Detailer. For small strips of plastic or gaskets like those found around doors, you can use any clean wax applicator pad or a homemade solution would be to cut up a terry cloth towel or even a terry cloth wash cloth into little sections about 1" or so square. Large enough you can hold with couple of fingers but small enough to be used on thin or small plastic, rubber and vinyl trim components without dragging over painted surfaces. It won't hurt paint, but you should remove any dressing residue off paint afterwards, (microfiber works good for this).

To avoid the problem in the first place try to slow down and be careful to avoid getting wax on trim and/or tape it off using blue painters tape.

I would try APC with a microfiber cloth and then dress the trim with M40

#39 vinyl cleaner works well. Try this in addition: park your car with the sun shining on the plastic trim. As the plastic and wax warms, it will become soft and easier to clean out of the pores on the plastic. I guess you could alsu use a hair dryer to get the same result. I used the sun treatment on my wife's Volvo S60 to get rid of wax that had gotten on the trim a year earlier.

are you suggesting that trim detailer can be used on door gaskets? I was going to use silicone dressing but just picked up some TD.....
