    Hello,
I have a 1988 black monte carlo ss that has some stains on the paint from bird droppings. Is there any way to remove them without harming the finish?

    Re: bird mess

Technically, the acid etching from the bird droppings have already damaged the finish. The good news is you should be able to remove the damage, it just depend what products and methods you will need. Could you add photos of the worst damage so others can lend their experience and advice?

You can also use Ultimate Compound or ScratchX 2.0 both of which you should be able to find at your local auto parts stores,

After you work the etching out, be sure to follow the paint cleaner with a coating of wax.

Do you know how to correctly apply a paint cleaner?
