  • Will Soft Buff 2.0 pads fit the G110 without new Soft Buff 2.0 Backing plate?

just making sure, looking to buy these 7" pads and double checking that the W67DA Velcro backing plate that comes with the G110 will be perfectly fine.

I can't believe this one went unanswered.

I'm in the same boat and have the same question. I'm looking at placing an order with AG tonight - can anyone help?

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Here's the deal: the new pads 2.0 have recessed backing which makes them easy to center when used with W68DA backing plate. Therefore it makes it a perfect combination. I would order the whole set: W68DA and Soft Buff 2.0 pads. W67DA is slightly smaller.

Yes, you can use the earlier backing plates with the Soft Buff 2.0 pads but you will get a better overall result with the W68DA plate. Not just because it fits so nicely into the recess on the back of the pads but because it offers better support across more of the pad than a smaller backing plate will, especially when working on concave panels. Plus, if you're prone to using a lot of pressure on your pads a smaller plate can run the risk of cutting into the back of the pad - the W68DA won't do this.
