Low priced Kawasaki Rotary Buffer (?) at Pep Boys

I was at Pep Boys today stocking up, and I noticed this tool with the Kawasaki brand name but either manufactured or distributed by AllTradeTools. It appears to be a rotary buffer (5/8" spindle, 1000-3000 RPM, 7" pads), although the description on the box describes it only as a variable speed sander/polisher. I couldn't get too much information from the box, and the tool is so new it's not even listed on AllTradeTools website. The price is surprisingly low ($70). Has anyone heard of or used this tool as a rotary buffer, or is my terminology incorrect and a variable speed sander/polisher is a different animal than a rotary buffer?

Yeah, it's a rotary polisher. The variable speed refers to the ability to adjust the speed by using the trigger and speed dial.

If your going to go cheapy go harbor freight. I purchased seven buffers from them for $34.99 each.

Or buy a dewalt used for about $80-$100.

Might not be a bad 1st rotary, but I'm no where near the skill level to use one just yet. I would be more dangerous than anything with one in my hands. But point well taken on buying a quality used rotary than gambling on an unknown cheaper model
