    hello guys
I am new here, I hv a red 350z and I hv a lot of question about car detailing. someone maybe can help me out.

Fist, I am trying to take off the little black thing (i think that is the asphalt) from my bumper, and I bought the meguiar's clay bar kit, but it not working so well. I dont know if the clay bar it work at this case. Also, I saw some gray thing on the my bumper, when i touch it, it feel not smooth and protrudable.
Second, I hv some deep scratches from the little stone( I can see the steel), it almost all over on my engine cover.
Plz help me and tell me which products and tools I should get.
I am trying to clean off this thing then apply the NXT Tech Wax 2.0 Paste.
    Thx so much.

BTW, I am still a ESL student, so I dont know if I said it clearly and sry about that.

Try claying in the areas where it does not feel smooth. It sounds like you have stone chips on your hood as well, you cant really fix a stone chip with any scratch remover, the only solution is touch up paint for stone chips

I am not exactly sure about the black asphault, could you explain in greater detail

    How about a picture?

      Re: help

Definately some pics if at all possible.

You will want a Bug and Tar remover for the asphalt, maybe for the gray thing as well.

                  Re: help

It takes a certain number of posts before you pics right away. Dont worry, they'll be up here soon.

Just a little annoyance to try and keep the spam/XXX people away.

                        Re: help

Just post some pictures first, painting the car would be a last resort, you would be surprised how well you could fix up your car with the right products.

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

                        I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
                        Remove swirls my friends.

If the paint is missing you must replace it. Then wet sand and M105

No worries, you came across fine, actually very good for a student, IMO.
