  • Tell me what to buy....

Need to buy a DA polisher ,ALL the pads and products that I'll need for a newer black car ( swirl marks ) and a newer blue truck ( no paint problems)to get professional results.
Also, I have a 18' center console boat( light oxidation) , that regularly see's salt water. I need pads ( maybe 1 or 2 4" pads ) for tighter spots with the products to keep it looking like glass. There's no real budget. Thanks Carl

    Carl,

Get a G110 or a Flex D/A. The Flex has more power, but I find my G110 does more than an adequate job.

As for pads... Meg's has the 6.5" and 7.5" pads. I feel like the latter are on the big side so as of late I've been using 4" LC CCS foam pads. If you are going to be using them exclusively on two cars, I'd get 6 orange, 6 white, and 4 blue (maybe 2 black). That would be enough as far as pads go.

On top of the pads M205, M105 are a must but I also like to fill in the range of products in between the two, just in case.

I also own M83 and ScratchX2. Get some NXT 2.0 and you'll be fine.

If you are going to go with the bigger pads, I prefer teh 6.5" pads over the 7.5".

      Okay, Here you go:

Get the Meguiar's DA Polish G110 from Auto Detailing Solutions

      -2 Soft Buff 2.0 7" Pads
      -1 Soft Buff 2.0 7" Finishing Pad
      -1 DA Backing Plate
      -6 Supreme Shine MF Towels
      -M105
      -M205
      -NXT 2.0 Tech Wax

For the boat, get a couple Buff & Shine 4" Polishing Pads.

All of the above can be found on ADS. On the homepage you can get his 150 dollar bundle, that's a good deal

You'll also want a spot light or gun to help you see defects in the paint.
