  • Just a quick question....

So, I've detailed plenty, but almost always by hand, and had great results so far. This is a black 2007 Grand Cherokee SRT-8 BTW.

    Hand Results from the past....

Well, this winter was extremely harsh on my car, so spring clean up has started, and it's going to be a long process....

Recently, at the World Of Wheels Show in Milwaukee, I purchased a G110 and a bunch of product, including the M02 Fine Cut Cleaner.

Started sunday, and ran out of time, but did a full clay bar, and ran over the whole car with the M02. Now, I want to jump to the next step, which is going to be swirlX that I purchased at autozone.

What is the best way to work this product with the DA Polisher? Yellow pad, I'm assuming, but do I work it just like the M02, work till it starts to break down, then wipe clean, or do I let it dry?

After that, can I jump straight to NXT or another wax?

    Thanks in advance!

You can use the SwirlX with any of our polishing or finishing pads, personal preference plays a factor as does choosing the best pad for the job. You want to run the polisher on a speed setting of 4.0 to 5.0

If the results from M02 has left a very clear and glossy finish then stick with a finishing pad, if the M02 left a nice finish but it's not a clear and glossy as you know it can be then use the SwirlX with the polishing pad.

Work the product over an area 2' by 2' or smaller, sometimes you'll need to let the panel be your guide. In most cases making 4-6 passes over each section you work.

Of course, do a Test Spot first using your pad of choice and the SwirlX and inspect your results, make sure you're getting great results in one small area before going over the entire car. If you're not, post back here what you're seeing and we'll help tweak the process till it's right.
