  • carbon fiber hood

    hi my name is greg.i just got a carbon fiber hood used and its faded in some area.i can see the carbon in some spots really good like by the front hood latch.but in the middle and on the sides its faded really bad.you can even see the fibers.what should i do???i dont know if it has a clear coat on it or not???how can you let if it does or does not have it.well please i need help.also people said that i might need to wet sand it down and then new clear coat.but i dont know thanks

    Hey, I had the same problem on my older car. It turned out to be the clear coat so my buddy recoated it and now it looks brand new.

      If the clear coat is actualy gone, then it will need replaced.

      If it was intact, and just faded, it could be treated like paint and cleaned/polished/waxed.
