  • Some Questions on Various Products, Placing an Order soon

    Hey guys,

I am placing another order at either Meguiars or ADS but i had some questions on a couple products first.

I already have All Purpose Cleaner and i am tired of using up cans and cans of Quik Out Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner and was looking to buy All Purpose Cleaner Plus . I know All Purpose Cleaner Plus can be used on carpet and upholstery but is it effective and can it work in place of Quik Out for light carpet cleaning?

I would like to buy a Detailer Line Car Wash. If i were to purchase one it would be Shampoo Plus or Hyper-Wash. Am i missing out on anything by not buying one, should i just stick to Gold Class or NXT Car Wash.

I would also like a product to use on my truck's exterior trim and maybe ven tires if it worked. I would like to get All Season Dressing but Hyper-Dressing and Silicone-Free Dressing look cool too, is it just personal preference?

And last but not least, X-Press Liquid Wax. Is this like a spray wax or an actual wipe on, wait to dry, wipe off wax. This product dosent get much talk and was just curious on this one.

If you guys could give me your opinions on this or show me some good threads and point me in the right direction then that would be great.

    Thanks in advance!

Re: Some Questions on Various Products, Placing an Order soon

Someone really likes the Detailer Line Upholstry cleaner in a can. Just a thought. I have never used any of it on really bad carpets.

I wasnt a Shampoo Plus fan. #62 for me. I think price wise though, Gold Class, esp on sale, still comes out cheapest.

All Season Dressing will be shiny, but longest lasting as well.

X-Press Wax is a wipe on, wait to dry wax. The idea is that it goes on thin very easily, and dries real fast. Some people have consiered it as a spray wax alternative, but never really heard if they tried it, etc.

If you like the aerosol carpet cleaners, D102 All Purpose Carpet Cleaner will be just fine.

I've used the D102, Quick Out, APC, and APC+. Of the bunch, I mainly use APC and APC+. APC is nice for spot treatments, while APC+ is great for use with a PC brush. Plus, I really like the orange scent of APC+.

All Season Dressing is great. It is solvent based and lasts a long time. You can adjust the gloss by wiping the area with a microfiber afterwards.

I use both the detailer carpet cleaner d102 great product. I have also used APC+ on larger areas. Works great

I started out with the Gold Class Shampoo. Tried the Shampoo Plus and I am hooked. It really is personal preference.

I am also a big fan of All Season Dressing. Lasts along time.

Never tried the express wax. Can't help you out there.

I tried Shampoo Plus and loved it. APC+ does a great job on carpets and upholstery, I use it in an extractor. All Seasons is great. I have a Nitro with lots of black trim, it's almost three years old, and the plastic looks brand new. Xpress wax is a wipe on, wait to dry, wipe off. It is easy to use, smells like coconut, leaves a tremendous shine. I think it looks best on white or light colored cars. I use M-21 then top with Xpress a day or two later. It is great for a monthly quick wax between details.

I Would Buy Hyper Dressing, Because it is So Versatile, but I think ASD may last a little longer.
I Would Also Buy Hyper Wash Because It is Biodegradable.

The Detailer line Upholstery cleaner in a can is particularly awesome for oil and really nasty floormat stains. I have 100% removed stuff that even I didn't think I would have a chance at with a single application by hand.

APC+ is still my first tool for plastics, carpets, and cloth though. It gets most stuff.

Hyper Dressing and ASD are too very different animals. HD has an almost magic ability to spread itself out over surfaces. I find this especially true in engine bays and wheel wells. With HD you can spray/mist an area, and walk away.

ASD needs more direct application, but it does last longer. I use both.
