washing pads and towels

Can my supreme microfiber towels and my soft-buff 2.0 (7 inch) pads be washed all together in the washing machine?

Well I decided to wash my pads in the kitchen sink with hot water and dawn. NXT 2.0 takes forever to wash out of the finishing pad. Once I was satisfied that they were clean and well rinse I spun them dry at speed 6. Tomorrow I'll put them back in their plastic bag.

soaking overnight in warm water with quality detergent does the job for all my MFs and pads

Soaking pads overnight might not be a good practice for the washable pads over time.

In MY experience, using paint cleaners (M80 etc), I just rinse them in the sink and spin the excess water out of them and lay them out to dry overnight face up.

If using wax, I use Dawn dish soap and agitate, rinse thouroughly and spin, dry face up. Only had 2 older pads have backing plates loosen up.

Seems to work so far.

FWIW, I don't always wash the pads for wax and don't always use a PC to lay down wax so the pads don't get washed a lot.

Edit: I wash my towels separate in the wash machine with hot water and liquid soap and rinse twice, no softner and dry on perm press. Wash Terry Cloths separate as well and no softner.

After reading this post. I got to thinking, when was the last time I rejuvenated all the microfibers. So I decided today would be the day.

I separated all the micros by use. Supremes shines here, Wal- mart brand here, glass microfibers here.

Washed them in the warm/cold setting. When the rinse cycle began added a 1/4 cup of vinegar, regular rinse cycle again (no vinegar).

Dried on medium, no fabric softener.

I should be good for a while.

Hello, newbie here. I accidentally wiped my tires with one of my
Meguiar's X2020 Surpeme Shine Microfiber towels. Got some big black blotches on it. Is it ruined? Or will washing as you suggest above, take care of it? I also quoted only that one part above, as I don't follow it, do you use vinegar or not, seems contraidctiory, but I am rather dense at times.

I do almost exactly the same thing, only I add white vinegar during the 2nd rinse cycle, and I hang the towels to air dry. You can always tell its Monday morning in my house with my hanging blue micros and gold Supreme Shines giving my wash room a very San Diego Chargeresque hue.

Hello, newbie here. I accidentally wiped my tires with one of my

Wash it separately from your other towels, use scent free detergent, warm wash, cold rinse. If that doesn't do it, try a hot wash and cold rinse.

White vinegar has properties that "open" the fibers of a MF towel and allow it to release trapped contaminants and chemicals. Use it during the rinse cycle, not the wash (meaning you have to keep an eye on the washing machine, unless you run an extra rinse cycle like I do)

Vinegar doesn't have to be used every time you wash your micro fiber towels, but once every two washes seems to work well for many people. I use it every wash
