    Re: Detailing question

Thanks Mike. So I guess I will pick up some Ultimate Compound. It looks like our local Walmart carries it, so I will check there. I guess I should pick up a clay bar then too ahh? What other products do you recommend for me to finish the job up with?

Has far has washing I have the Gold Class car wash and shampoo so I guess I will use that first then the compound, then clay bar, then.....

      Re: Detailing question

      Wash
      Clay
Test Spot on hood with the compound and then inspect the results.

If the finish results look good in your Test Spot then

      Wash
      Clay
      Compound
      Wax

If the finish results look good but there's some light haze in your Test Spot then,

      Wash
      Clay
      Compound
      SwirlX
      Wax

Try to keep it simple especially if this is your daily driver.

Thanks Mike. I will follow that method. This vehicle is not my dail, but rather my summer (nice day) cruiser so I can devote time to doing it right

          Re: Detailing question

If I order the Power kit, item # Kit2, which is a buffer and some pads could you (Mike) explain to me what products to only apply to what pads. For instance the polishing pads. I'm guessing I could use swirl x on them but can I use compound or do I have to buy the 2.0 cutting pads? On the finishing pads do I only use wax? How long do the pads last and do you have to swap them out while working on one vehicle?

          such a noob I am

          Thanks
