  • G100a questions.

I just bought the G100a and am looking to use it this weekend on my truck (Black 04 F-150 some swirls). I am planning on using the 83 DACP for swirl removal but I have a few questions.

When applying the 83DACP I was wondering when you work it in to a fine haze should I remove it with a MF towel or a bonnet? Should I remove it then move on to other secitons?

This is my first time really ever using a Polisher and I have read this board and the different hints tips and tricks I am just wondering how you remove the 83 DACP if you remove it at all.

Here is what I am planning on doing to my truck this weekend.

    1. Wash/dry.
    2. Clay
    3. 83 DACP 1 coat
    4. #7 1 coat
    5 2 coats of NXT

I have a lifted 04 F-150 so its gonna be an all day event no doubt but I want my truck looking real good.

Thanks for any info in advance!

    Hi John,

    Welcome to Meguiar's Online!

Check out this how-to article I've started on using the G-100 dual action polisher. I'll be adding photos and hopefully video soon.

Using the G-100 to remove swirls with the Professional Line

For most people, removing the #83 DACP after applying to each section or panel is best. You want to work it long enough for the diminishing abrasives to have broken down, but not so long that you have buffed to a dry buff. You should always have a wet film on the car.

The best way to remove a cleaner/polish like the #83 DACP is to use a soft plush 100% cotton towel because the nap helps to break-up the product, (#83 can sometimes be a little gummy), or a microfiber polishing cloth like the Ultimate Wipe.

You attack plan looks good, I'm sure you've probably read to apply the #7 Show Car Glaze using a thin coating and then remove it using a plush 100% cotton towel or microfiber polishing cloth without letting it dry first. Meguiar's pure polishes don't need to dry before removing and will usually wipe off easier if removed shortly after application.

Hope this helps and have fun!
