  • Which side of the Towel?

Some of the MF Towels I have, 1 side is different from another. For example, the ADS MF's, one side is nice fluffy fibers, and the other is not. Is safe to use both sides of the towel. Or is the ruff side not safe on the paint?

    Thanks
    Matt

Re: Which side of the Towel?

I seem to recall some company advertising towels with one side for "product removal" and one side for "a final wipe".

Do your towels actualy feel rougher, or just shorter fibers?

It's just shorter fibers from what I see. But the side with larger fibers seems softer too the touch. Neither side is actually "ruff" I suppose.

      Thanks

I use the nice fluffy because they are softer.

That's the only side I have used as well. Thanks for clarifying

          P.S,

I like your quote for your detailing company lol

I think that might be Armor-All

I guess it is kind of like saying a Supreme Shine to remove stuff, and an Ultimate Wipe for the final wipe.

This is the intended purpose. The longer nap is for the initial wipe and the short nap is for the final are intended to be used with exterior detailers, etc. Shorter nap towels (both sides) work best for removing polishes and hazed waxes, etc.

The thicker, longer nap towels tend to roll (not slide without bunching up) especially when folded when you wipe off polish. However, practically, they all can work with most takes (cleaning gloss, polish removal, instant detailing, washing, etc).

I would agree with the others. For instance on my buf-n-shine glass microfibers, they have a smooth side and a "rougher" side. I use the rough side to remove the gunk from the glass. Then I use the smooth side for a streak free final wipe. So I would use the rough side to work product and the smooth side to do the final wipe.
