  • UQW after UQD

Is it ok or feasable to use the ultimate quickwax or aquawax after spraying and wiping down the car with the Ultimate Quick Detailing spray to get the dust and fingerprints and whatnot off the car?

Or should you wait a little while or a day or two before using them together?

    Re: UQW after UQD

I think I should be okay to do that.
UQD to remove fingerprints and light dust.
    UQW to boost wax protection.

Yeah, that's fine. They are way different products, even though they both say "quik"

Its an expensive product to cover right up with the wax, but it can be done.

          Re: UQW after UQD

You could use UQD without any problems, but I would use QD or Last Touch and then UQW afterwards. It would be cheaper and I would want to save my UQD to remove light dust a day or so later and give that UQW shine a boost.

            Re: UQW after UQD

i understand thanks. I do have 2 bottles of the quick detailer I was saving for my clay lube, and a bottle of the uqd that i use to wipe it down once a week (if i am lucky).

My main reason asking was because my g/f's explorer is kind of dusty and I was going to use the uqd to get all the dust off then use the uqw, but I guess it would just make more sense to use onr (or dp 4n1 in my case) then just use the wax

I think if your going to do a UQW application the only good time to do so is right after a washing.

                Re: UQW after UQD

Ultimate Quik Wax is NOT to be used like a quick detailer product (NXT Speed Detailer, Last Touch, UQD, etc) in the sense that it is NOT for removing dust or other contaminants from the surface.

UQW is ONLY to be applied to a clean surface.

                  Re: UQW after UQD

i do this as I rarely ever wash a car.

UQD or any detailer followed by UQW works fine.
