  • Glaze on white paint?

I always hear how glazes make cars look deeper, wetter, etc. I am under the impression that glazes are for dark colored cars. Do glazes make light colored cars look better also? I'm planning on glazing my red Prelude, but I also want to glaze my metallic white IS350 if it will make it look better.

Polishing with a pure polish or glaze from the Meguiar's line will tend to increase and maximize the clarity and gloss of a clear coat paint while bringing out the full richness of color for a single stage paint and also maximizing the gloss.

Truth is that a polish like M03, M07, M81 and Deep Crystal Polish will add clarity, gloss and beauty to all color paints it's just harder to see any dramatic change on light colors due to the nature of lighter colors.

While this thread is about waxes some of the same ideas apply to your question...

Which LSP is better for light colors?

Hey termigator, I challenge you to an White IS350 "detail off"! LOL

You pick your regimen, I pick mine, we post out picks (I photoshop mine to ensure victory) and then we have MOL members decide who wins!!!

In all seriousness, I use M07 on mine and I notice a difference. Not a huge difference, but a difference. On my wife's silver CR-V, I notice a bigger difference. It's like a small extra wetness I feel like I get in how it looks.

Sounds like fun, but I'd hate to be partially responsible for a wax war, especially if we wind up using different waxes . I just recently read your innocent wax test (which I thought was pretty cool, BTW. I was personally pulling for Natty's Blue because I have it!) and it got pretty heated near the end. Not surprising to me, since I've taken part in the many debates they've had over at Autopia and none of them really ended amicably. I have yet to see one where it DID NOT get shut down by the moderator.

I was just looking for some opinions on whether a glaze would make a difference or not. I guess I could always take a before and after shot and see.
