  • Opinions on Turtle Wax Ice Car Wash

Before I found this forum I went post xmas-sale crazy at Target and bought up 4 Turtle Wax Ice detail kits for about 75% off. I read some reviews on Amazon and it sounded like the Turtle Wax Ice line was the new end-all in auto detailing. After disappointing experiments with Turtle Wax Ice liquid claybar (bought separately) and being less than impressed with Turtle Wax Ice wax, I now find myself with 3 nearly complete kits (I gave one away to a friend - hope he's still a friend!) and I'm trying to decide what to salvage.

The microfiber towels (total of 6) are keepers, as are the applicator pads and the canvas bags the kits came in. And I have read more than a few posts here that the Ice Spray Detailer is a solid product. So what I'm left with now is the bottles of Total Interior Care and Ice Car Wash.

Have any of you used these products specifically (just the car wash and interior care)? How is the lubricity of the car wash? Is it comparable to any Meguiars products? Same questions for the interior care product.

    Thanks!

I liked the Spray Detailer, IMO it is similar to UQD where it adds some "wax" protection.
the Interior Protectant I originally loved because of the consistency, but then decided it was nothing special.
The Liquid Clay Bar IMO was a waste of money. It did not work at all. It was a waste of $14.
The Polish was also not a keeper. I was again a waste of $15. The shine and depth only lasted for a few days and a wash.
I have never tried the wash or wax however.
Do not take this the wrong way, Yes I did not like the products, but to me it was a learning experience, and the best part is it Turned Me To Meguiars!!!

I have used the TW Ice Car Wash many times. Seems to do a good job, as far as I can tell. I'd keep and use it.

If the car wash is great, good, or even adequate, I would probably rotate it in to my car washing routine just to get value off my purchase, For example, assume that I wash my car once a week, I would probably start off my rotation with Gold Class car wash (which many of the members here seem to favor) followed with using Ice car wash the next 2 weeks before returning to GC. And I don't have a preference for Ice, I just hate to waste a good or serviceable product

The Ice Car Wash is actually very good. It has good lubricity, spot free formula, and a pretty good value. The Ice "Polish" is short lived. The Liquid Clay Bar is like a pre- cleaner(not really a substitute for a clay bar). I agrre that the MF cloths and pads are pretty good.

i used the Turtle Wax ICE Car Wash once on our 4Runner ages ago and wasnt pleased with it, it left the finish dry as dish soap would and it even left water spots even though everything was done in the garage where it was shade. its now reserved for washing the epoxy coating on our floor in the garage. that was the first and last TW product i used from the ICE Line

The car wash is ok, I much prefer NXT but worth using since you have it. Don't skimp when mixing or the results wont be as good.

I personally like the ice interior cleaner. I dont like the glossy look on my dash. This just does a kind of plain matte look, but is clean looking and to me it doesnt seem to attract or hold dust. After this I will try the megs interior cleaner

i wonder if Turtle Wax expects to anyone use the ice edge brush to scrub the wheel and the tire, when i was at advance auto i was so overwhelmed by the 09 Megs products that i didnt bother with TW, didnt know they expanded the ICE line, not to bash but you would think they would try to improve on some products they already have out?

If I was not so addicted to Meguiars Products, I may by the tire and wheel care products, but I do not think the brush would be easy to use. I was overwhelmed by buying UQW I did not look to see if they had SSP or NSP.

Here in Ohio we still have no 2009 Products. It is driving me crazy.
