Hi Robby,
We moved your follow up post from this thread and created you're own dedicated thread for your question and detailing project as it deserves it's own dedicated discussion.

Rotary Buffer?
Dual Action Polisher?
Regardless, the green scrubbing side of a common household dish-washing sponge is very scratchy when used on paint especially if the person using it is really scrubbing the paint hard to remove spray paint.
So chances are you're going to want to use either Ultimate Compound or the new M105 Ultra Cut Compound to remove all the scouring and scratches instilled by this kind of scrubbing pad.
Rotary Buffer
IF you're using a rotary buffer you can use a wool pad, foam cutting pad or polishing pad. If you've never used a rotary buffer then let us know and we'll provide some how-to information to help you.
DA Polisher
If you're using a DA Polisher, Meguiar's doesn't recommend using our foam cutting pads with DA Polishers so you'll want to get a couple of our yellow foam buffing pads, either the W-8207 7" Washable Soft Buff Foam pads or the W-8006 6" foam polishing pads. Both use the same kind of foam and both can be used with either UC or M105
After washing and claying the paint really well, you'll want to read the below thread and follow the tips and techniques
Tips & Techniques for using the G110, G100, G220 and the PC Dual Action Polisher
(These are all similar tools)
And if the scouring and scratches are really bad then shrink the size of your work area down to a small size to focus more cleaning attention to the paint to thoroughly remove the swirls and scratches.

Yes it is a polisher. Not quite sure if this particular polisher is a dual or single action. Its not the Meguiar's polisher, though. I did buy the yellow and dark red foam pads but I haven't used them yet. I gotta wait till the owner's schedule and mine have a weekend where I can work on the truck. I will try to post before and after pics when I get started.
BTW-Sorry about posting in the wrong place-
I have the Mirror Glaze 1,2,3,9 products and have been experimenting by hand and buffer applications on junkyard body panels."Surely you can't be serious!?"
"I am serious....and don't call me Shirley."
