  • White / Beige Paint Specs On My Black Lexus

Need some help...Stayed over at my moms place one night about a week ago while they were painting her building...Made sure to park as far away from the building as possible..The next morning when I woke up they had already started painting, when I went down to my car I had these white or beige specs all over my car....went home washed the car, broke out the PC, then tried some color x, then tried some XMT360, then some poli seal then lastly i tried prime acrylic, the prime seemed to work the best but not even close to being good enough...so I still have these specs all over my car... HELP....What should I do? Will Clay remove it?

Claying should work, be sure if it's working to knead your clay often or switch to new pieces as removing lots of paint dots off the surface will act to load up your clay with these paint particles and you don't want to risk scratching your car's paint.

Also might want to contact the business responsible and let them know what happened.

I was at Lowe's about 2 weeks ago looking at products like Paint Thinner, Mineral Spirits, Lacquer Thinner, etc. and saw two new aerosol products just for removing overspray paint.

Should have bought them while I was there but didn't. Can't remember the name of the product as it was a personal name and different enough that I can't spell it.

I have to go to Lowe's for some chain so I'll find out what they are and post back here but until then you might consider checking into them yourself. Time to take one for the team Darren...

Besides that, you might try something like wiping with mineral spirits or Goo Gone?

Please update this thread with what works best for you.
