  • The correct procedure of waxing the car...?

    hiz guys,

i'm not sure whether this topic has been answered b4, if have pls direct me to the link.

    well, my question is...

normally, i soap, wash & dry my car. i will apply the UQDetailer for 1 layer for the whole car before i wax it using the NXT paste wax & wipe clean. then the last step is the sealant application. is this procedure the right way?

another question is does applying the sealant is the same way as applying the wax too? juz apply the sealant in circular motion, 1 layer on the car then wipe it off for the effect. is this correct?

hope that some one give me some pointer/tips...

thank you very much. have a nice day...

      Hi jphua,

This would be the perfect thread for you to read through. It isn't necessary to use UQD before waxing as UQD is a maintenance product used between waxing, and for removing contaminents that may come in contact with your paint, ie. bird droppings.

That's actually kind of backwards but it won't hurt anything to do it that way, normally you would follow this pattern,
        • Wash or wipe the car clean
        • Clay if needed
        • Apply wax or paint sealant, you only need to use one type of paint protectant. - At this point you're done. If you want to apply UQD afterwards you can but a fresh coat of wax usually looks pretty good on it's own.

A car wax and a paint sealant do the same job, they seal the paint, they protect the paint and hopefully they make the paint look great.

        Check out these two threads,

Is it a wax? Or a paint sealant?
