Anyways on to the questions... Is that the newest version? The one that uses the 2.0 pads? What kind of pads are those? If I do buy that what is the order from least aggressive to most aggressive?
Yes the polisher shown is the current version of our G110.
All DA style polishers with a Velcro backing plate can be used with our new Soft Buff 2.0 pads.
The pads in that kit are Lake Country pads and the chemicals are from Autogeek, somewhere on this forum is a comparison of our pads to the LC pads as for the chemicals have not used them.

Sure you can. The primary difference is in power, our G110 offers a little more power and usually this shows up in the ability to keep the pad spinning which is important when you're removing swirls.

    Either one will work.

Could you tell me what those Lake Country pads are from least aggressive to most aggressive? I tried searching through the forums but I couldn't have a thread with this question.

Hey Mike, it is pretty clear that the G110 is more powerful than the PC and less powerful than the Flex, would that mean that with more power in a machine like the flex you increase the chances of paint burn or over aggressive mistakes.

I watched a demonstration on youtube between a Flex and a PC and the Flex was much better at removing defects, but I was thinking "at what price"? (Not just the initial monetary expense).

You should really just save up the money and get the G110 for 134 dollars.

To achieve good results you have to put a little money in it.

Just to clarify, we're talking about the Flex XC3401 VRG Dual Action Polisher and not the Flex L3403 VRG Rotary Buffer?

Regardless, yes the both Flex tools offer more power, (Torque, Amps, Watts), as compared to the G110, G220, all variants of the Porter Cable Dual Action Polisher and the Pre-PC UDM's

I wish I had known about the Flex DA, before getting the G110. It's still quite affordable really. It would be nice to have just that little extra bit of power. However, then I wouldn't know what speed settings and things to use, so it's best to use for now the popular G110, so I can benefit from everyone elses experiences on here!

I have that Chicago polisher. It work's fine. If your not going to use it all the time it will last and it does a good job for me. My switch started to "jump" so I went and exchanged it with no problem. So just keep your receipt.

Yeah... but I'm not too experienced in using rotaries so I'm not going to bother with them until I have a DA polisher...

And don't be afraid of a rotary, there not the devils tool. You can use one with a few minutes. Plus there's a ton of videos you can learn from.

Well... don't you need a DA polisher to go over a rotary in order to get rid of all the swirls created by the rotary and make it shiny in the and mirror like in the sun...? So that would mean I need to get a DA polisher first...

Swirl are created by you. It can be created with anything, hand, orbit, rotary or DA.
DA is a rotary buffer. The DA stands for "dual action". Orbits and rotates, rotary only rotates.
I was looking for some info about Da & Rotary. There's allot. Do a search and read up on the differences. That should help you decide.
But if your like me and do a couple of cars a year, the Chicago is fine. If you want the best go with the DA.

Of course DA rotates but doesn't mean it is a rotary buffer... Isn't DA just another name for Random Orbital Polisher... I don't have a panel or hood to practice the rotary buffer on, so I'm afraid I will do more harm then good. I did read up the differences on this forum already. That is why DA is different than a rotary buffer and is not called the same thing. If I had a hood or something to practice on than I'll try the Chicago rotary because I can pick that up for $20... I saw on the videos on here that you should always go over a rotary with a DA polisher. Unless I'm wrong...

Here's the action of a DA

Here's a good explanation of a Rotary and the DA:
Circular [rotary] polishers can provide exceptional results in a reduced amount of time, making them ideal for enthusiasts who want to get the most out of their effort.
The main purpose of circular [rotary] polishers is to remove paint imperfections, and professional detailers will have no problem operating a polisher safely. However, circular (rotary) polishers do emit more heat than a dual action (orbital) polisher and are therefore more likely to cause paint damage in inexperienced hands.

If you are a beginner – try using a dual action polisher first. Dual action machines are easier to operate and they’re a good practice tool before moving on to circular polishing.

A Random Orbital Buffer (ROB) is a completely different machine. It has a much more forgiving personality, has less power, generates less heat, and does not spin in a true circular pattern. Contrary to what some naysayers would have you believe, the ROB can achieve results similar to those of a rotary, especially when used properly; but the main benefit comes from the ease of use and massive safety margin.

Hope this helps, also I'm sure some more will comment during the week, so don't give up on your decision yet.

what pads do you use with the Chicago polisher?
I think the back plate that come with is 7.5 in, most pads are 6.5 in that i see, Im considering getting the chicago polisher since its only $35
