  • Am I right? Gold Class has a deeper Gloss?

    Hi All,

I use both NXT 2.0 and GC, but everytime I wax with GC, my car (Black) seem has a much Darker color and Deeper Gloss. While the NXT has great reflection, I'm just love how it look with GC.

    Anyone has the same experience?

Another Question, is NXT more durable than GC?

I drive my car daily, mostly park inside, does waxing it twice a month a overkill?

    Thanks for any advice.

Re: Am I right? Gold Class has a deeper Gloss?

Gold Class is a more traditional wax where as NXT is more advance being synthetic. Which gives the deeper gloss is proberly a perspective thing, so bit tough to say unless you can show us a 50:50 in sunlight etc.

As liquid waxes the durablility will be quite similar, around 4-6 weeks. However a test done by a pro detailer here in the uk showed the Nxt 2.0 Paste Wax to last longer than the liquid. Also you wax as frequently as you like (but after 6 weeks the beading may not be so evident and this is when it fails)

Its taken some time in the making, and waiting for time allowance and the right day of weather hasn't helped things either. OK, following the many ups and downs of thw wax test many would question my sanity, but none I think my dedication. So just when you thoughts things might work towards me throwing the towel in I've taking the challenge by the horns! Today I've gone and made a huge step towards getting the...

You are right (and christian6984 is right), sometimes, especially on black, the Gold Class can provide a look deeper. The Gold Class Wax is a very luxurious formula combining polishing oils/conditioners, Carnauba and polymer agents.

Yes, the NXT Generation Tech Wax will probably last longer as it is fully synthetic. Typically, fully synthetic waxes break down slow than Carnauba-based waxes.

Waxing twice a month may be a little over the top. However, the real negative is having too much polish on the paint, which could end up resulting in a situation where the product streaks.

Thanks guys for all the advices.

If I wash my car twice a week, wax once every month, does this sound more reasonable?

anyway, I'm really enjoy reading this forum, I learned a lot.

also, is it completely ok to use UQD on top of a GC waxed paint? will UQD alter the look?

          thanks again

That is more reasonable, but I would say do it as often as needed, or as often as you want to...

You will have no problems with that combination of products, it won't alter the appearance.

Yes, you're right, on every car I've tried, I prefer the look of Gold Class and Hi-Tech Yellow Wax over NXT 2.0.

However, I do like the durability of NXT, so I just go back and forth between them depending on how soon I want to wax again.

Here is a fifty fifty or maybe 45 10 45 lol
Gold Class is on the left and NXT 2.0 is on the right. Both were in paste form.

I tried a thin layer of Gold Class wax as a first layer and then topped it with nxt 2.0 Awesome finish in my opinion.

I think gold class is harder to remove after it hazes than NXT.

hmm...my experience is, as long as it's thin coat, it's not any harder than NXT.

Gold Class Liquid Wax has some polishing oils in it, I am not sure the same can be said about M26 but i could be wrong

i have used both and i preffered Gold Class over M26, but nothing beats M26 on our black 4Runner so i keep a bottle of M26 on hand just for that vechile

I have had the same bottle of M26 for a year and 3 months now and it is a great product

I have a Crystal Red car and had only used NXT 2.0, gave a great high gloss shine. Yesterday I decided to try GC, and it seems to have a darker look, still great shine. I am now thinking about using both together, I always apply 2 coats waiting 10-12 hours between. Just wondering if using these 2 together, should I apply NXT 2.0 first and then GC or just the opposite? I am a newbe, so hope this doesn't sound too off the wall.

                              Thanks
                              Rusty
