  • ColorX vs. DC #1

I recently bought a bottle of ColorX and I still have 1/2 a bottle of DC #1. My wife loved the job I did with her car she told everyone that I'd be happy to clean theirs.

My question is, which is the more aggressive cleaner? I'm doing two cars, one is a badly neglected white minivan and the other is a fairly nicely maintained white cadillac, which products would you recommend to use on the cars? I'm thinking of using ColorX on the minivan and DC #1 on the Cadillac.

It will all be done by hand. I will probably clay the minivan first, but not clay the cadillac. Then use the cleaners, DC #2 for polish and follow up with DC #3.

I've been looking for NXT wax but won't have it in time for the detail.

    Thanks for any input!

    Hi Grover,

The more aggressive cleaner is the ColorX.

ColorX contains both chemical cleaners and a diminishing abrasive while the Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner only uses chemical cleaners to offer a very gentle cleaning effect.

Sounds like you have your hands full. Have fun!

Thanks! That's what I thought but wasn't sure. I'll try to post pictures, especially of the minivan when I'm done.
