  • Alright Pro's what do I need ???

Here's my first of many posts to come: BTW Hello to all !

Have a couple questions on my first DAP & acc's purchase, that'll be used on a 05' Black Infinity, 07' Dark blue F150 & 01' saltwater used boat.
I'm not sure where and what value pack to purchase for my first DAP. Alot of threads here talk about other sites to buy from too like ADS,Autogeek,Autopia and Meguires. I just want to be able to clean and care for these vehicles without breaking the bank
Which DAP would you recommend for me ?
    Which pads?
Do I need backing plates & counterweights ?

    Thanks Again
    Carl

If you are going to remove swirls and defects yes.
Buy the new 2.0 pads from Meguiars they are washable.

      Carl,

I'm not a pro but I'll give you my two cents.

Get the G110. IMHO it is the best bang for your buck. Great for a newbie.

I'd get this package to start. http://www.autodetailingsolutions.net/g110-kit-2.html

I say "to start" because you might also like to try some smaller pads for those tighter areas. If interested, I bought myself this set http://www.autogeek.net/spot-buff-kit.html which has some 4 inch pads which I like to use around mirrors and in hard to reach areas.

Everything you will need will come with the G110 and the respective LC kit. No additions. Of course you'll have to get some M80, M83, M105, M205, 151 etc.... LOL

I would also stick with ADS. There prices are some of the best around. Get the washable pads, lots of them. Get a lot of supreme shine microfibers, and some others from Wal-Mart, Target etc. These would be for the dirty areas you will be cleaning. Get a good car wash soap, drying towels etc. Then you will be on your way. Good luck.

If you can spend the money I say get a Flex and variety of lake country pads. Otherwise a PC or Meguiars G110 with 4" LC pads. Meguiars 105/205 combo as well
