  • Body Brush

I finally found a body brush online and just got it last week. I'd tried the other discontinued brushes and I love them, so I'm really anxious to try out the body brush. My question is, after I use it, what's the best way to clean it?

I just hose mine off. Maybe agitate it with my hand if needed.

I agree..also make sure to hose it off before you use it again to make sure that the bristles are soft and clean.

I am not a very big brush guy though.
The only benignity is IMO I think it goes faster and it can reach.

After it drys I put it in a plastic grocery bag so dust doesn't settle on it.

My only fear is swirling the paint

I have used mine a couple of times. Just rinse it off real well, run fingers thru it to loosen any dirt particles and your ready for its next use.

I have not noticed any swirling using mine.

It sounds self explanatory, but let me ask. Do you actually use it on the body of the car?

Whenever I've seen that brush in the past I've thought "no way you would use that on the body"

It's only weird because it's not normal

Amazingly enough a good body brush works and doesn't leave swirls.

as you hose it off, massage through the bristles and it will clean up nicely...

I use the wide body brush all the time. The first time you touch the bristles and actually feel how soft they are you might just start using it as well.

                          Re: Body Brush

The brush is amazingly soft, so I'm not worried about putting scratches or swirls in my paint. But my concern would be not getting it clean enough to use the next time, which could lead to swirls. When I use it, I'll probably limit it to lower panels of cars. Thanks for the suggestions guys!

I usually just use it on the roof and lower body panels.

I haven't noticed any swirling on those portione.

Did they have the extendable handles alone or with the Wide Body Brush?
                              (Need to get some spares)

I have one and the ends can break off real easy if you jam them against something, partly because the Wide Body Brush head has a lot of leverage over the little plastic stub that pokes into the brush head.

I use the Wide Body Brush to wash both our Honda Pilot and my Jimmy and since the Jimmy has a 6" section of course, textured paint gong all around the lower part of each panel the brush works great.
