Last weekend I completed a 5 Step on my 2000 ML 320. I thought I was doing a good job of keeping it clean until becoming familiar with Meguiars a couple of weeks ago. I only used Meguiars products. It turned out great.
1. Two bucket wash with Gold Class Car Wash, Wheel Cleaner, and Insane Tire Cleaner. Masked off the car after drying.
2. Clay bared the entire car using mild clay and Speed Detailer
3. Polished with Speed Glaze 80 (applied with DAP G110)
4. Waxed (twice) with NXT 2.0 (applied with DAP G110)
5. Cleaned the interior with Gold Class Leather and NXT Glass Cleaners.
Needless to say I'm thrilled (and the Dawn is back in the kitchen and I won't be buying Armorall again).
It didn't look this good when I drove it off the lot nine years ago. Look's like I have a new hobby and my seven year old daughter had fun with it too. -Kevin
