Never once have I seen or heard good things about infomercial products. They seem cheap and cheesy. fficeffice" />

I received a box of them last week.

For detailing, they're lousy. Leaves a big water-spotted mess. That guy on the commercial who says "You gotta be outta your mind not to own one of these" when drying a car is lying to you. 8-)

On the other hand, for picking up a spilled cup of milk from a 4-year-old, it's perfect! It really does soak it up.

I received some as a gag gift or Christmas. Never have used them on my car but in the kitchen and bathroom they do a pretty good job.

I got some for Christmas, and i agree with Brian. I didn't like how they worked on my car. They stuck to my car, meaning they didn't glide over it like my waffle-weave towels do. And it left water streaks. As mentioned above they do seem to soak up a puddle of liquid pretty good, but in my opinion they would be better used in the house. Now I am curious if the "absorbers" at walmart are the same. Anyone know?

Has anyone tried the "pat-dry" method with this though? I'd think that would work better with this because there would be no chance for it to streak and less potential to scratch the finish as well. I use the pat-dry method with my waffle-weave and it gets the car dry pretty fast actually.

Tekman00, I've used the absorbers from WalMart and they actually work excellent!! I use that and a microfiber.

Bad for cars, great for spills and stains in your house.
