  • #9 removal

Speaking of #9 Swirl Remover, I have noticed that if you increase the speed on PC, the product dries much faster and is pain to remove even using Ultimate Wipe. I increased it to 5 to do my dad's Corolla, and product just stared drying within 3 minutes. Is that normal? Or should I switch to #83 instead with a slower speed?

I'd be willing to bet that you're applying it too thick.

Would it not dry slower if applied thicker...more liquid to work in?

You would think so, but if you apply it too thick, and use the PC at a low speed, you're not working it enough for it to break down. All you're doing is moving it around the surface of the car so instead of breaking down & drying out to a powder, it's just drying out into a gluey mess. Megs pro line products seem to work MUCH better if used sparingly...just enough to cover a 2' x 2' area.
