The thing about really soft paints is that as soon as you can dial in your polishing process to get the finish to where you want it the next thing you want to do is get a slick wax on that paint to help prevent scratches when you wipe the paint any further.

Soft paints tend to get scratched and marred or scuffed very easily even when you, the detailer, are wiping off previous products or even dust before going to the next step.

So as soon as you can get to the wax step get a wax on the paint that makes the paint very slick. I used to take care of a single stage black AC Cobra and the paint was so soft that just looking at it the wrong way would put a scratch in it. I used M20 Polymer Sealant as soon as I had the #7 Show Car Glaze removed not as my finishing wax but as a wax to make the paint slick so any further wiping wouldn't put a scratch back in.

M20 dries fast and wipes off very easily and leaves a very slick finish.

After the M20 step apply whatever you normally would for your choice in LSP

    Thanks Mike! Thats good info.
I did find a new final polish system to finish out this car. Although, you guys are going to hate me.....I can't tell you what it is

FWIW, Ultrafina does have a reputation for "filling" on that other site. It's a nice product, but definitely has very very little bite. It's basically only good for ultra soft paints, or removing the lightest of holograms.

I was detailing a buggy that had a powder coat finish that was so soft even a quality microfiber was scratching it, and I had to use Ultrafina with the zenith technique, and 2 passes to get it even close to perfect.

In my experience, on soft black paints, AIO's work good on a finishing pad on the flex or DA slowed down to 3.5 to 4 for the final polishing step. I have spent hours trying to make soft blacks look right, trying all different combinations betweens, pads, speeds, product and machines. Out of the AIO's I have, 66, 151, and Optimum PolySeal, the PolySeal was the most user friendly to use, but I am sure there was some masking or filling going on.

I was pulling my hair out trying not to find those slight little curly Q's or tic marks.

Thats one thing I don't like. When I find something that works, I wipe it down it alcohol, and check the results. If theres anything left(swirls, scratches), I move on to the next product. I refuse to let anything come back and haunt me. I'd rather do without any fillers at all.
