Would I waste my time using this combo with a PC7424?

I started the whole process with a wash, clay, M83 w/ W8006. My plan was to use M80 w/ W8006 but I only have the W9006. The vehicle is a 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche driveway queen. 90% of the swirls were removed using M83. Would M80 w/ W9006 be wasting time? Should I just move on to NXT2.0 w/ W9006? I need to finish the truck soon.

I have D151 w/ W8006. Should I use this combo before my LSP?

I want to use dedicated pads for polishes and waxes and will be ordering more but not in time before I need to give the truck back. I am not looking into cleaning a W8006 with the possibility of cross contaminating. I don't have a pad washer...

This is my first detail using professional products and I decided to tackle this project with the M83/M80 combo before trying D151.

    Any help is appreciated.

Have you done a test spot?

See how M80 w/W9006 pad works, maybe you could get a more deep wet looking surface by using it and some minor defects could be removed. If you notice a difference and you like what you see then use M80 w/W9006 pad and when you're done go with NXT 2.0 w/W9006 pad.

I think you'll have to wash that pad a couple of times because you only have one but you can give it a try.

Since you have a D151/W8006 combo already, do a test spot of that next to a test spot of M80/W9006 and see which you prefer. Do the rest of the vehicle based on that evaluation.

        Re: M80 and W9006

The diminishing abrasives in the M80 tend to like a little stiffer pad to break them down, so when using a finishing foam pad it's hard to get the M80 to finish out real nice.

A better second step would be the D151 with the finishing pad.

Whichever combo you decide to use, just be sure to do a test spot first.

Thanks guys. I plan on doing two test spots of D151/W8006 and D151/W9006 both at speed settings 3 or 4, see which looks better to my eye, and will top it off with NXT2.0/W9006.

I can't wait to post results of the whole process but still have to work on the cladding, interior, windows, and engine. A full detail on a large vehicle takes a long time...
