I also use the Absorber. I try to "blot" as much as possible.

I'm afraid that I was very disappointed with Meguiar's Water Magnet.

Another vote for the absorber. After I use the absorber, I like to follow up with a Marine water magnet.
(They are larger). This gets anything left from the absorber...

Your towels when you wash them may need a little rejuvenating. In the rinse cycle add a 1/4 cup of vinegar.

Remember when drying your towels never use a fabric softener of any kind.

Yeah, use towels to dry your car, I don't think you should need additional products

        Get Some Meguiar's:

        and

        These work great too:

          This is how i wash:

          1) Add Costco liquid detergent.... the one with no odor, no dyes, or anything
          .
          2) Near the end of the wash cycle, i add some white vinegar

          3) Add some white vinegar during the rinse

          4) Rinse again with just the water.

so many different towels to choose from

I've been using a regular MF towel and waffle weave combination that's worked quite well, even with super hard water (don't know that that really makes any difference, though). However, I just bought the Super Suede drying cloth to use in place of the MF towel and am eager to see how that combo works.

Isn't the Absorber that rubbery thing? It has ZERO knapp and is begging to swirl and scratch your paint.

The key to keeping drying towels effective is making sure to NEVER wash them with anything but other drying towels. Also, use hot water and no fabric softener. I also add an ounce of distilled vinegar to the rinse cycle.

I used to have miserable results with my waffle weaves, and then I learned how to wash them properly...so much better.
