  • Professional vs. Consumer lines

What is the main differences in consumer, and professional lines.

    Specifically,

    #21 / NXT 2.0
    # 7 Show Car Glaze / Deep Crystal polish
    # 9 Swirl Remover/ Scratch X
#34 Final Inspection / Quick Detailer
    # 6 cleaner wax / Cleaner wax

    Just curious.

I've heard of some pros using certain Meguiars products from the consumer lins, such as the Cleaner Wax.

    Re: Professional vs. Consumer lines

There's lots of stuff on other threads comparing the different product lines. I think there are consumer, detailer, and professional lines.

One thing to consider is that the detailer and professional lines are usually available in gallon sizes which is pretty economical.

Like gr8-wrx said, there are a lot of different threads on this topic right now, try searching and read through them.

But in a nut shell, the different product lines are marketed to a specific group of people and the products are forumalated that way.

M21 is safe to be used by body shops. NXT is not. Similar products with similar results.

        # 7 Show Car Glaze / Deep Crystal polish
#7 has been around much longer and is a tad more difficult to remove; but the brethren love #7!

        # 9 Swirl Remover/ Scratch X
Two different products. ScratchX is a paint cleaner and is more abrasive than #9. #9 is a mild paint cleaner (it has diminishing abrasives), but it is also rich in Meguiar's Trade Secret Oils.

#34 Final Inspection / Quick Detailer
        Have no clue.

        # 6 cleaner wax / Cleaner wax
        The former is more abrasive.

        I welcome correction!
