I was wondering how do you tell the difference between coated and non coated aluminum wheels? Or how can you tell the difference between all the different types of wheels? Or how can you tell the difference between polished and unpolished aluminum?

Re: Different Types of Wheels
Get some metal polish and rub it in a small spot. If it turns black, it is uncoated aluminum. If it doesn't turn black, well, it's not raw aluminum.
As for how to tell between polished and unpolished aluminum, polished aluminum looks chrome like and unpolished (assuming oxidized to be able to easily differentiate) looks like dull chrome.
