The Photobucket issue I have seen before, the issues I've seen a lot were regarding bandwidth where quite frequently a user would exceed their bandwidth if a lot of people were viewing their pictures / videos... I upgraded to a pro account to avoid this as I do a lot of testing with small videos so hoping this will not pose a problem, even over time.

Meguiars have always had a very open discussion forum - its was MeguiarsUK that was the first forum I was an active member on and I was always surprised at how willing the company are to have other products discussed. Its refreshing I have to say, very refreshing and speak volumes of a manufacturer's confidence in their own products

As the Admin, over the years I've dealt with all the questions from people all excited to read a thread and look at the pictures only to find the pictures gone and there's no solution available to fix the problem.

First and foremost, I want to thank you and your team for producing a valid wax comparison test. I do agree that, " the devil is in the details". That is, quality preparation will yield the best results. I think that this comparison does spotlight that the majority of "boutique" waxes add little if anything more to an OTC wax. I like to experiment with different products as well. However, I tend to keep coming back to Meguiars products for their tangible quality and value. This comparison test indicated that price doed not equate to quality. Thank you again.

Interestingly... Meguiars #16 was one of the first paste waxes I bought, and its actually one of the few I will buy again

Better bring some of that great stuff with you as it is not sold in the US anymore.

That was a great test.

The results are really not surprising. It is always the prep work that determines the end result. As usual a very good write up. The water beading shots were interesting. Thanks for taking the time to do this test and taking all the time to post it. Very well done.

Dave, thank you for sharing this test with all of us here at MOL. As a diehard romantic, I must re-assert my evidence-defying faith that wax does make a difference, but I must also concede that it may not.

Now as a scientist I'm sure you will agree that it is important to confirm the results of your test, so I am sure you are already thinking about the SEQUEL. And next time, be sure to include NXT and M26 in your test. I would love to see how they do against Zymol Royale and Swissvax Best of Show.

Awesome test, thanks for taking the time to machine all the vehicles, assemble the "critics" and take and post all the images, plus sort it all for a coherent and cohesive post!

As you mentioned, and it is interesting to observe, that each wax received votes from highest to lowest (with a single exception, I believe) which tells me that beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. We often read that different waxes impart slightly different looks to a vehicle - and as individuals tastes and perceptions vary so will the scoring of a particular "look". In the end we have choices, and we like what we like. There really isn't a "right" or "wrong" here and that's probably a very good thing.

This test is just further proof that the vast majority of your shine and gloss comes from the preparation and not the wax.
