  • M26 over M21

Hey guys, I normally just use M21 as my LSP but have read great reviews on M26 and saw some at a local advance auto parts and decided to pick it up. Would you guys recommend I let the M21 cure for about an hour then apply the M26? Or would you guys recommend using only one at a time or which do you guys prefer?

I've never been into layering. I like two thin coats of the same product. M26 is probabally my favorite Megs product.

I'd actually like to know how long curing takes also.

First of all seeing this is your first post, Welcome to mol.

You could wait the 30 minutes and apply the #26. It will be okay. In a perfect world you would wait around 24 hours to apply the second coat. But that is not always practical.

There's at least one all-encompassing thread on this in Hot Topics and I think two threads...

I'm pretty good at hunting them down and the copying and pasting the links to them but sometimes I like to let others play the Super Searching Sleuth role...

There's also a thread in the How To Articles forum on "Topping" that lays out some common sense about this topic from an appearance point of perspective.

              Re: M26 over M21

I apply 26 over 21 sometimes, just because I like to change up the look on my black car. 26 has a more reflective shiney look in my eyes, plus, since 26 doesn't have cleaners, It's not removing the protection of 21, so that's a good thing IMO. It was warm here over the weekend and I washed my car and got my first try with 205, it hadn't been polished since mid summer and was in decent shape, but had a little bit of light scratching, 205 is amazing. I then applied with 21, and it's still clean, so I am getting ready to top it with 26.
