  • Pure Polish?

Does Meguiar's Have a Polish that has zero abrasives or a very small amount?

I have scratch X 1.0. That seems pretty week.

I am working on a new paint job that has no scratches. I just want to make it shine w/o removing any paint.

I would use deep crystal polish, topped with your choice of LSP. But lets wait and see what some of the experts say...

          Re: Pure Polish?

Be sure to think in Meguiars terms...

DC1 and ScratchX are paint cleaners, ScratchX being a strong (by hand) cleaner and DC1 being quite mild. They remove dirt, and depending, can remove swirls.

DC2, #7, etc are pure polishes. That is they only add oils to the paint to improve the looks, health of the paint.

So there can be strong or mild paint cleaners, but a pure polish is a pure polish.

Yeah, that is what i want is a pure polish. The only thing I had close to it is scratchx because it is so weak. Thanks. I will get some #7

Also do you guys recommend the Ultimate Wipe?

I already have a bunch of towels, but just wondering.

                Re: Pure Polish?

Well, different towels for different purposes. My choices are:

                - WM - Drying
                - SS - Product removal
                - UW - Final wipe down and QD/UQD application

So I have a load of WM's and SS's, but I think I have 3 UW and have only used 1. But I do like the UW a lot...

Yes. IMO Ultimate Wipes are the best. Yesterday I placed an order for another dozen from ADS.

I have a ton of MF towels and until this month used Supreme Shines for QD'ing. Now I use the Ultimate Wipes for QD'ing because they work so much better.

As far as Pure Polish I would get #7. Amazon has it for $10.11 I think. I got this for myself as a Christmas gift. Seeing it on Ryan's white F150 has got me thinking.

                        Re: Pure Polish?

#7 is definitely the best "pure polish" I have ever used. (#3 when used by DA is not far behind IMHO, but not many people on here use it that often for some reason. I really like it though) As far as the UDC, it is the best microfiber I have ever used. Granted it's more expensice than the SS, but well worth it in my opinion... By the way, Merry Christmas guys!

I like #5. It does a great job for me. In Florida we have humidity issues, and #5 works well in humid areas.

There's a section that covers this here, look for a heading with the number 3 in it...
