Does Meguiar's #7 have abrasive?

Does #7 have abrasive? It doesn't say, unlike #9 which says abrasion is 3 on the scale right on the front.

What is a glaze?

Meguiars kind of uses Polish and Glaze interchangeably....

But #7 has no abrasives.

Hi, River. #7 falls into the category of "pure polish." In Meguiar's linguistic universe, a pure polish is a polish that does not abrade the paint surface: its purpose is to enhance gloss and shine. In Meguiar's product line, pure polishes include: DC2, M03, M05, M07 and M81.

On some other internet forums, the word glaze is synonymous with what Meguiar's calls a "pure polish." It can be confusing.

M07 is non-abrasive and has been since it was introduced probably in the early 1900's...




There are no ingredients in this product with the intended purpose to abrade the paint. If you need to do correction work you want to look for a cleaner/polish, paint cleaner, compound, etc.

I've never tried the DC pure polish, but I do use #7 and it is amazing. Good luck with it.

I have DC Step 2 (soon to be just DC Polish) and M07, they are both great products.

DC = Deep Crystal

M07 = Show Car Glaze (#7)

Deep Crystal is a 3 step system consiting of a Paint Cleaner, a Polish and Wax
