  • Dust removal ???

I like to keep my cars clean and waxed. No matter how clean I keep my car, the next day my cars are cover in dust. It is even worse on my black truck. My neighbors think that I'm crazy because I wipe my cars down nearly every day. I usually use NXT speed detailer and a micro-fiber cloth.

Is there a better way to remove this dust in between washing? I worry about putting scratches and swirls on my cars. How about the "California Duster"? I have read some articles where it is recommended that you wash and dry the duster before use, in order to remove the paraffin wax. The I have read other articles that says that you need the paraffin to safely remove the dust. I have seen another duster product but made with micro-fiber chenille strands. I try to keep the touching of my cars painted surfaces to a minimum.

So I guess my question is what is the least invasive way of removing dust from my otherwise clean cars?

    Thanks

California style dusters work best on cars like you describe, that is a cleaned, polished and waxed surface so that when the paraffin impregnated fibers of the duster are wafted, over the finish the dust will more readily want to stick to the fibers then to reside on the finish.

    Do they work good?

Personal preference. You have to try one for yourself and then decide for yourself.

Besides that, you mentioned the most popular way to remove dust and that's using a clean, soft, plush microfiber polishing cloth with a quality mist & wipe quick detailer of your choice.

Washing the car, driving at high speeds, (within the law), compressed air are other options...
