It's been bothering me for a while. I've tried a few things even my secret cleaning ingredient, but nothing seems to work. I have a 98 Acura Integra that has window seals that look awful. Idk if it's sun damage or it its the beginnings of corrosion. My black seals have spots that won't go away & when I run my finger along the surface it seems rough & bumpy not sleek...is there a way to restore them so they look brand new (black & shiny)? or am I just left with the option of trying to find replacement seals? Can I paint over it or will it still look horrible? Idk what material it is. Some parts look like painted metal the rest could be plastic and/or rubber. Also, every time I clean them my rag turns black...What is this? i know it's not dirt.

Re: Need Help Please
A picture would help but from the description of the condition together with factoring in where you live and the material affected chances are good it can't be fixed, at least you can't pour something out of a bottle, rub it on and have the surface look like it did when it was new.
That said, try to get a picture so we can know for sure what the components and the damage looks like.
