Just curious of opinions...if you could have only one of the AIO type products with some swirl removal capability in your arsenal for maintaining your own daily drivers (black), which would it be - ColorX, 66 or 151?
Well, in the order from least aggressive to the most aggressive would be:
1. ColorX
2. #66
3. D151
If I could have just one, it would be 151 due to it being the most aggressive, but is really easy to use and remove.
Now, having said that, how would you apply it, by hand or machine? 151 might be too aggressive by machine on your own vehicle if you did it repeatedly for maintenance. Another thing, all paints are different and blacks can be especially difficult to finish down with no light marring, so without trying each one of these in a "test" area, it would be hard to say which will look best. I personally have 66 and 151 and 151 has become my favorite for one steps, but again, to use it repeatedly, I'm not sure. ColorX would be your safest bet.
I have used both #66, and #151. They are both fantastic. Right now Because it is more aggressive then #66 I really enjoy the results from #151. Personally I do not believe you can go wrong with either.
I'd be applying it with a G110/8006 or 9006 (depending on swirls), once every couple of months, just as a quick detail between major twice a year details. I work only on my own cars and a few family member's and don't want to spend a lot on different types of similar products. I have used ColorX for the in-between details in the past and it leaves a fantastic gloss, but doesn't do much for swirl removal, especially on black daily drivers.
So, a wash/151/NXT routine would not be too much for an every couple of months detail on "soft" black paint?

Personally, I'd use 66 in this instance. I have those three in stock and find 66 to be a pretty good maintenance type product for my daily driver (actually my ONLY driver). After a regular wash, I like to go around the car with some Last Touch. While doing that I'll invariably spot some flaw that (depending on the severity) I'll correct with M105 or 151 and then spot finish with a little ColorX.
For me, correcting minor flaws as they pop up works out pretty well. Having the assortment of products for different cases makes it easier.
You know, you may have some issues with light marring if your paint is soft, I might suggest waiting for the 205 to be released and just use it for maintence followed by your favorite wax/sealant. I would think 151 by machine might be too much if used for maintenance, just my 2 cents...

Thanks for the follow-up.
All considered, 205 and NXT would definitely be my preferred line-up. However, my purpose in asking about the AIO's was with limited time and weather constraints (PA winters) I was looking for something I could use that would seal/protect in the event I could not get to the LSP step.
As you recommend, I'll probably stay away from the 151 and go with ColorX or #66. Again, thanks for your advice.
