This sounds like the same model Lenny House and every detailer on the East Coast had problems with, let me shood Lenny an e-mail and ask him to chime in because if it's the same car/same paint it could be all the manufactures fault for the paint type they're using.

with Rob66 and Black Bart. Even if you find a pro to polish it back to a showroom finish it won't stay that way all that long. If you want to keep your daily driver scratch and swirl free get the proper tools and take ownership of the paint.

I bought my first black car 4 months ago and made the decision. Turns out it is a labor of love and fun.

Buy a PC and some $80 and do it yourself.

I had a simialr problem with an Astral Black Celica some time ago.

Although Scratch X was working by hand it really was hard work.

For the amount that you are spending on a 'Detailer' i would seriously consider as other have said purchasing a few detailing tools yourself. For my Celica i used A G220 with Polishing Pad set at 4 or 5 with #80 and in parts #83 this removed 80% of the scratches/swirls. Show Car Glaze#7 helped a little to remove the others and added depth to the paint, this topped with dare i say it P21S and then NXT looked great, so much infact that i was stopped twice in service stations and asked what i had used.

Its not a quick process but using the G220 does speed things up (and its fun). I would put aside at least a day maybe 2 depending on weather.

sorry for your problems. any real pro will be able to get that out. some of the guys here absolutely amaze me with what they can do. I need to find a really good detailer around here, that I can have work on my mom's explorer, I dont have the machine power to get the swirls out, stupid dealerships and thier "detailing"

if you are determined to get it fixed..... scratch X will fix it too by hand....but that will take multiple applications per panel and probably take you a few days...... just take a terry cloth and scratch X after you have washed the car thoroughly and then just rub away.....this is the most time consuming and finger straining method but one you can do without having to buy any equipment.....

your next option is to buy the G110 and have at it with M80 speed glaze on a W8027 pad at speed 5...... it'll take a fraction of the time..... its pretty idiot proof.... i cannot see any reasonable way that you would be able to hurt the paint with it unless you threw the buffer at the car hahaha....and im not someone thats good with power tools....

the thing you might be worried about is did the idiots who worked on your car before burn through the paint with their rotary buffers.....

nissan paint is usually easy to work with...... having owned 3 late model nissans.......83 should be able to take care of it....

also i think the G37 has what they call scratch shield paint which has a clear coat that heals itself from scratchs so maybe if you just wait long enough it'd dissappear on its own hahaha.....

Its a 2008. That feature which I now wish I had is with the 2009.

2008 Infiniti G37S Osadian Black. I have pictures but nothing detailed showing defects. I will attempt to take some pics so you guys can see what I am talking about..

Basically they are Swirls that are light to almost medium.. Scratches from the guy that detailed my car the other day from applying pressure from front to back with a pad on certain panels.. and Water marks that supposedly didn't come up with cleaner Wax.

I'm going to go ahead and guess is a 2008 Infiniti G37 Coupe. Judging from his forum name, johnnyg37, thats where I got it. The G37 just came out this year so it has to be 2008 or 2009.

Just a guess though...
