what is the difference between mist and wipe quick detailer, ultimate quick detailer and nxt speed detailer

are they all essentially the same product or in the same class

also, i am wondering if i should incorporate a polish into my detail.

currently when i have detailed my cars, i gold class wash, dry, mothers clay, mothers cleaner wax if i have some with my 7336, then nxt 1 with my 7336 and wipe off with a MF

unfortunately i was doing that with the PC in the box pad

i have on the way, 3 8006, and 3 9006's, and MF bonnets

should i incorporate the deep crystal step 2 polish inbetween cleaner wax and nxt ( i bought a bottle of 2.0)

when and what are my indications for the polish, and what is the best way to use it.

i plan to be detaling my 85 mercs and 2005 mercs

    thanks

I'll try to help here. I'm sure someone that knows those products better will chime in soon.

The only detailer that you listed that I'm familiar with is UQD, I use the pro-line version M-135. It is amazing stuff. Works as an excellent touch-up for NXT 2.0 or M21 between waxing. Or can be used just after waxing for a little extra BLING. Makes water bead like crazy.

As far as a polish goes, it would depend on the paint (type, condition) and what you want to achieve.

I like to use a polish then a glaze before final wax when I have time to 'do it all'.

Doing all five steps will get you great results:

      Wash
      Clay
      Clean
      Wax
      Maintain

The polish would come in just before waxing. There is no reason to use a cleaner wax if you are going to follow with a polish or glaze or NXT. Unless that is just the product that you have.

Based on you're info this is the process I would use:

      Wash with Gold Class
      Clay
      polish with Deep Crystal 2
      Wax with Nxt 2.0
      Finish with UQD

Unless you have very noticeable defects in the paint, that should make it shine like the sun.

Sounds like a good, practical routine to me. You could apply a pure polish after the cleaner wax but I suspect most here would not.

If you have swirls in your paint, you might consider substituting ColorX for your Mother's cleaner and then topping the ColorX with NXT. Some of us have adopted the method taught by Mat (Murr1525) for our daily drivers.
